Dame Dynamite
Esther Bramlett is an experience alchemist specializing in merging performance and installation. Creating large scale set design, athletic choreography, and original costumes, she is engaged in every piece of the final product.
Her professional career began in 2011 in San Francisco, where she danced in contemporary companies such as Garret+Moulton Productions (2013), Samantha Giron (2011), Detour Dance (2011), Anna and the Annadroids (2011), and other Bay Area artists. As a performance artist, she made her debut with Hubba Hubba Revue in San Francisco. Her cabaret and burlesque performances blur together performance art, immersive theater, outlandish costume design and eclectic techniques. She has studied ballet and contemporary technique at ODC Dance and participated in intensives at the San Francisco Conservatory of Dance. In 2015, Esther back to her hometown, Austin, Texas, to perform with Fou Fou Ha Austin!, Frisky Business Burlesque, Cheryl Chaddick Dance Theater, and to create her own contemporary site-specific works as well as stage dances.
She has created pieces for Ballet East Dance Company (2015) and her choreography has been showcased in Revolve: A Movement Display (2017 and 2018) the Austin Dance Festival (2016) and Waco {254} Dance Festival (2017). Seeking to create larger scale performance for more site-specific and installation based venues, she has submerged herself into developing interactive set design and cultivating her endeavors to engage the both the performer and audience with their environment.
